The Eraring BESS project, Stage 1 now under construction, will support renewable energy growth by storing excess solar energy during the day and discharging to the grid during peak periods, with an expected capacity of 700MW across three stages to provide long-term stability for the National Energy Grid.

Stage 1 of the Eraring BESS — was at time of award the largest battery in Australia at the time (though no longer the largest, it remains a critical asset!). APD will soon commencing the engagement for Stage 2 of this essential project, marking another step forward in Australia’s energy transition.
